General Manager Dain Cooke
For Dain Cooke, hearing about great guest experiences is the most rewarding part of his job as a Cameron Mitchell Restaurants’ (CMR) general manager.
Cooke worked at Cameron’s American Bistro as a server assistant in 1996 before switching careers. He later returned to the CMR family in 2008 as a server and bartender and was promoted to the dining room manager at Cap City Fine Diner and Bar in Gahanna. He has also worked at Marcella’s Italian Kitchen in the Short North as a server, bartender, dining room manager and is currently the concept’s general manager.
According to Cooke, the days of working in hospitality are never the same and he stresses the importance of learning how to interact with different personalities. His greatest advice to associates is to reach out to likewise individuals and learn from their experiences in order to grow professionally.
Cooke holds a degree in hospitality management from Columbus State Community College and is a member of the Theta Chi Fraternity.
Cooke resides in Harrison West with his partner Jay and enjoys attending community events, bike riding and dining out.
